Ruth Underberg (1924–2002) was a German painter, primarily known for her work in the fields of Expressionism and Impressionism. Born in Cologne in 1924, she belonged to the prominent family of the Underberg herbal liqueur manufacturer. Her artistic training was multifaceted: in Berlin, she attended the Lette-Verein School of Art (1939) to train as a fashion illustrator. In Kronenburg (Eifel region), she studied under Werner Peiner at the Hermann Göring Master School for Painting (from 1942). She continued her studies at the Berlin University of the Arts. After 1945, she received private instruction from the renowned painter Professor Mathias Paul Padua at Lake Wolfgang in Austria. Underberg worked with various techniques, including oil painting, watercolors, and mixed media. Her subjects included portraits and nudes, landscapes and still lifes, and depictions of coastal scenes and lakes (boats/boathouses).
Her works are traded internationally on the art market; the quality and condition are very good, see photo; shipping, packaging and insurance within the Netherlands, France, Italy and Germany: €0.00.
