Signed and numbered

Visual artist Wil Willemse is fascinated by people. People on the street, at work, in sports, and how people relate to each other in groups. Her background in pedagogy taught her early on to be a keen observer and thinker. She discovered the language of the body.
Style
During her many studio sessions and drawing trips in cities, Willemsen learned to translate communication between people into images. This resulted in colorful and rhythmic depictions. With bold strokes and bright colors, she depicts the interpersonal relationships of the figures on paper and canvas. Her work is just abstract enough to leave room for the viewer's own interpretation.
