Alik Cavaliere (1926 -1998 )
Draftsman, Graphic artist, Sculptor, Installation artist
Alik CAVALIERE (Rome 1926 – Milan 1998)
Alik Cavaliere was a sculptor who studied at the Brera Academy of Art in Milan, where he later became a sculpture teacher and director. Starting from figurative realism, he developed narrative sculptures and space-filling installations. The relationship between man and nature, metamorphoses, memory, and mythology are recurring themes. Trees, branches, and other plant forms occupy an important place in his work. He combined traditional sculptural materials such as bronze and copper with steel, wood, glass, ceramics, and found objects, among others. His installations often took the form of gardens, labyrinths, and environments that visitors could walk through.
