Arno Arts was a multimedia artist, he never limited himself to one technique. The choice for a particular technique was determined by the idea, the concept. He thus made paintings, drawings, graphics, video, installations, performances, etc. Initially, his own name 'Arts' was the starting point. The interaction between reality and fiction plays a major role in his work.
Arts was educated at the Academy of Visual Arts in Arnhem. He allowed himself to be led by an image to an imagination in every conceivable form. Painting, drawing, object, ceramic or glass sculpture: every means or medium is subservient to the idea. Arno Arts uses a recognizable visual language, but overwhelms with his comment on the created reality. This creates an astonishing work of art, an image that attaches itself to the viewer's world.
