Nanna DITZEL (Copenhagen 1923 - Copenhagen 2005)
During her studies, Nanna Ditzel mainly immersed herself in the production of cabinets and she followed a training as a furniture designer. During this period she met Jorgen Ditzel with whom she participated in an annual exhibition in Copenhagen. In 1946 the couple married and, after the success of the exhibition, founded their own design studio in Hellerup. The products they designed were initially aimed at efficiently furnishing small spaces, but later they focused on designing for children. Around 1919, Ditzel worked for Georg Jensen, where she made silver jewelry. A well-known product from Ditzel's oeuvre is the hanging egg chair.
