Plateelbakkerij ZUID-HOLLAND (Gouda 1898 - Gouda 1964)
The South Holland pottery bakery was founded by Egebert Estlé and Adriaan Koster. Plateelbakkerij Zuid Holland may have been the best known and largest pottery factory in the Netherlands for which many well-known pottery painters and designers have worked. Plateel is often called "Gouds Plateel", referring to the large production in Gouda and the "Decor Gouda" that work has also been taken over by other factories.
