Frans Ruwel (1912) geboren te Amsterdam,volgde zijn schilder
en tekenopleiding aan de Academie Artibus bij Henk Bellaard en Hij
volgde een opleiding tot tekenleraar aan het Rijksmuseum te
Amsterdam.
Frans Ruwel tekende en schilderde landschappen en
stadsgezichten in een
heel eigen impressionistische stijl.
Werken van Frans Ruwel vind je in vele nationale en
internationale collecties
van instellingen,bedrijven en particulieren. In 1977 wijdde
de gemeente Woerden een tentoonstelling aan o.a. het werk van Frans Ruwel.
