After purchase, an artwork can always be collected, but by appointment, in Diemen (near Amsterdam, a few minutes from the A10 ring road). The collection period is very generous; you can optionally collect the work weeks or even months later and, if possible, combine it with a visit to (the area around) Amsterdam for other matters. In that case, you will, of course, save on shipping costs. The only exception to the above is that if the seller at any time decides to ship the work free of charge, this is binding, i.e., the work cannot be collected in that case. This will only happen in exceptional cases and the buyer will not bear any financial risk.
