A clearly recognizable etching from the 1st state by Johan Meijer. Meijer primarily painted and etched landscapes around Blaricum and Laren. His Blaricum period began around 1912, and winter landscapes were a core subject.
This etching has good print quality, soft grey tones, a pencil title at the bottom, and a handwritten signature on the right. The scene is a typical Gooi landscape. Additionally, it is a beautiful composition due to the depth provided by the path, an atmospheric winter tone, and the trees are characteristic of Meijer's style.
