The exclusive blown champagne glasses by Polish-Dutch artist Marcin Karwiński are a unique and very limited design series. These glasses are characterized by their long, narrow, and elegant shape; they are entirely handmade and mouth-blown in Poland.
Only 200 of these champagne glasses were produced, making them a rare collector's item. Each glass in the series is signed by the designer himself. The glasses gained extra prestige when the Royal Household in The Hague received a set from this limited series in 2016. The remaining pieces were distributed among approximately 60 private collectors worldwide at the time.
Characteristics of the glasses Design & Shape: Very long, narrow, and minimalist bowl.
Production: Artisan mouth-blown glass, manufactured in a Polish glass factory.
Distinction: Each piece is handmade, unique, and personally signed by the artist.
Availability: At the time, the very last individual copies were sold through Glass Art Gallery De Aventurijn.
About the artist: Marcin Karwiński (originally from Szklarska Poręba, a renowned Polish glassmaking center) views glass as a noble and living medium. In his philosophy, glass is a 'supercooled liquid' and a metaphor for infinity. In addition to his functional glassware, such as these champagne glasses, he is best known for his complex, ecological glass sculptures in which he combines pure craftsmanship with materials such as 18-carat gold leaf.
