In 1994 Ottmar Hörl's installation "Fliegender Wechsel" was performed in Seligenstadt (Germany). 1,000 Blue Gnomes divided into group formations and over the course of several days, they kept appearing in new locations and formations that city, such as downtown, industrial area, river bank, station area, etc.
