Beautiful work by Otto B de Kat
Nice item for the collector of his work.

Otto B. de Kat (1907–1995) was an influential Dutch painter, watercolorist, printmaker, art critic, and teacher. He trained at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam, where he later became a professor of painting (1955–1972) and influenced a generation of young artists. De Kat was strongly inspired by the École de Paris — Bonnard, Vuillard, Marquet, and Nicolas de Staël — which is visible in his bright use of color, atmospheric landscapes, and the combination of figuration with subtle abstraction. He was a co-founder of the Kennemer Kunstenaarskring and the Hollandse Aquarellistenkring. Museum collections (selection) Works by Otto de Kat are held in, among others: Frans Hals Museum, Haarlem Teylers Museum, Haarlem Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam Rijksprentenkabinet, Amsterdam Singer Laren Museum Henriette Polak, Zutphen De Wieger, Deurne Museum Maassluis Museum De Fundatie / linked collections Museum De Buitenplaats, Drenthe
