A characterful sepia chalk drawing by Ru van Rossem, depicting a reclining lion and lioness. The work is executed in a warm reddish-brown hue and displays the artist's characteristic loose, expressive linework.
The drawing is signed in pencil in the lower left corner.
The work is stylishly presented in a light wooden frame with a spacious white passe-partout, allowing the subject to be beautifully showcased and creating a calm, museum-like appearance. The entire piece is framed behind glass and ready to hang.
Please note: the drawing has sagged slightly within the frame and has partially detached from the passe-partout. This is visible, but can be relatively easily repaired by remounting if desired.
Additionally, this work is offered in combination with a signed book about Ru van Rossem (ru van rossem, text by Joep Monnikendam, published by Van Spijk Art Projects).
The book contains a handwritten signature by the artist and forms a beautiful and personal addition to the work.
