David DESJARDINE Painter, graphic artist, collagist. Born in Sliedrecht on 7-2- 1939. Education: Academy of Visual Arts (Arnhem) and Güzel Sanat Akademisi (Istanbul). Worked in Sliedrecht, Haarlem, Amsterdam, Istanbul and Arnhem. His work is 'abstract'. On May 15, 2011, 41 works by the painter Desjardine from the period 1968-1992 were auctioned (Catalog Boven's Veiling); the auction as such was also intended as a conceptual work of art, established by notarial deed of 5 November 1993; unsold works are sold on the spot..... The artist signs his work with "Desjardine" (without first name).
