SOCIETA PORCELLANE ARTISTICHE (Florence ca. 1950 – Florence ca. 1980)


Società Porcellane Artistiche was a ceramic studio based in Florence, active in the second half of the twentieth century. It produced decorative porcelain in a style closely related to the Capodimonte tradition. The production consisted of hand-painted objects such as vases, figurines, and lamp bases, often featuring animal motifs like peacocks, doves, and cockatoos. The style is characterized by vibrant colors, gilded accents, and rich ornamentation. Some objects were mounted as table lamps in brass or bronze, making them popular in Hollywood Regency and Mid-Century interiors. The works usually bear the hallmark "SPA Firenze" or a variation with the full name. The studio's production was partly serialized, but unique pieces bearing the signatures of individual decorators are also known.
