Gilbert Prousch (San Martin de Rot, 1943) en George Passmore (Plymouth, 1942) besloten om samen kunst te gaan
maken toen ze elkaar leerden kennen op de St Martins School of Art. In hun kunst
verwerken ze vaak zichzelf, aansluitend op het idee dat een offer en persoonlijke
investering nodig is voor het maken van kunst. Het duo maakt nu al bijna 50 jaar kunst
met als inspiratie hun woonwijk East End of London. Ze zijn grote namen in performance-
kunst, videokunst en conceptuele kunst.
