'Goede wijn behoeft geen krans'. Dat geldt voor Toon Kelder. Ook wel een romantisch modernist geneomd. Hij had deze zomer een overzichtstentoonstelling van zijn werk in museum Flehite in Amersfoort vanwege zijn geheel eigen plek in de Nederlandse kunstgeschiedenis
Dit is een aandoenlijk en vakkundig gemaakt portret van Judith. Het is getekend met rood krijt of crayon op lichtgetint papier. Het betreft een uniek stuk uit 1936. De beeldmaat is 27x34 cm en het is gevat in een originele lijst uit de tijd. Handgesigneerd met potlood en het vermeldt verder: 'Fecit VI '36 '.
