Cees Morsch (1950)
Cees Morsch (Heillo, 18-02-1950) works as a photographer and artist. Much of his work is created by editing photography (digitally, chemically or by hand), transferring the result to watercolor paper or linen and in many cases further processing the resulting image with paint, varnish or otherwise. He exhibited in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and the USA and made specific works at the request of various companies. He also made various sculptures, one of which was commissioned by the municipality of De Bilt as a monument in memory of the deceased in a plane crash in 1944 that almost razed a villa at 15 Soestdijkseweg to the ground. Cees Morsch restored the villa to its original state, after which the monument was placed in the garden adjacent to the public road. Cees Morsch was mainly active as an artist until 2007, in 2014 he resumed his artistic activities, after several forays into the commercial digital internet world. In addition to being a photographer and an artist, Cees Morsch is also a director and/or producer of approximately 300 audiovisual productions, including 2 feature films ('Tasten in het duister' and 'Necrophobia', both shown at the Netherlands Film Festival), numerous commercials, dozens of corporate and educational films. and a large number of interactive productions on CD-I and CD-Rom. He has won many prizes at home and abroad. Cees Morsch currently lives in Maaseik (Belgium).
