Oscar Oiwa was born in Brazil to Japanese immigrants. Oiwa has been influenced by comic books, among other things, as well as the urban environment of his birthplace. He participated in the 21st Sao Paulo Biennale (1991). He currently lives and works in New York. His artworks are exhibited worldwide. Oiwa presents us with a world made of dissimilar or opposing elements that, although very different, coexist. He reflects on the passive acceptance of change and the gradual deformation of the environment. The work "Playing soccer at noon" an official FIFA poster football world cup Brazil 2014 is also by him.
