The human figure is central to Aat Hoogte, and classical mythology has always been an important source of inspiration for Aat Hoogte. His paintings often consist of reclining or seated figures in the open air or in an interior. The statues of Aat Hoogte, often cast in bronze, have the same style as his paintings. The work radiates harmony and tranquility and the composition is carefully constructed.
