Inkt, pastel en viltstift op papier, 1988, gesigneerd in inkt linksonder, en getiteld bovenaan "Baadster met kind". Uitgegeven met een certificaat van echtheid van de Guillaume Corneille Stichting.
Guillaume Corneille, een groot meester van de kleuren, creëert een joviaal werk.
Als rondreizend kunstenaar kruiste Corneille, dankzij zijn vriend Alan Davie, het pad van David H ockney op de Londense scène. Beiden erudiete schilders, hebben zij dezelfde smaak voor kleur, hetzelfde gevoel voor vereenvoudiging van de lijn en dezelfde standvastigheid in het knipogen naar de kunstgeschiedenis van voorbije eeuwen en naar hun eigen doorleefde geschiedenis.
Er is een autobiografisch element in al Corneille's werk. In 1988, was zijn zoon 6 jaar oud.

As an itinerant artist, Corneille crossed the path of David H ockney on the London scene, thanks to his friend Alan Davie. Both erudite painters, they have the same taste for colour, the same sense of simplifying the line and the same constancy in nodding to the art history of past centuries and to their own lived history.
There is an autobiographical element in all Corneille's work. In 1988, his son was 6 years old.
